Public Notice – General Borrowing By-law No. 3-25 for the Construction of a New Public Works Storage Building

The Council of the Municipality of Roblin at its regular meeting in the Council Chambers, 125-1^st Avenue NW, Roblin, MB on May 13, 2025, will consider giving 1^st reading to By-law No. 3-25 for the proposal to borrow $880,000.00: 

•  New Public Works Storage Building at 330 PTH 5W

The total estimated cost of the storage building is $1.61M. to be funded as follows:

• $730,000.00 from the Municipality’s Infrastructure Reserve Fund and

• $880,000.00 by borrowing

 The borrowing will be repaid over 5 years at an estimated interest rate of 7% per year. The annual repayment amount will be approximately $214,623.81. 

The annual repayment will be levied on all assessable property in the Municipality. Note: On the annual tax statements the tax rate will be included in the general municipal mill rate levy, and is expected to begin in 2026.

Note: this will not be a per-parcel tax rate; this will be a mill rate tax.
