Notice of Objection
A Notice of Objection may be submitted by a Respondent who wishes to appeal an Order to Comply or Order to Remedy.
Once received, the Municipality will record the objection and schedule the matter to be heard by Council, subject to agenda capacity. Enforcement of the Order is stayed, and the compliance timeline is suspended, until Council has made its decision.
The Appellant will be given an opportunity to appear before Council, either in person or through legal counsel, to present their case.
Any supporting information, materials, or documents the Appellant intends to rely on should be submitted to the Municipal Office no later than 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday before the scheduled meeting. This allows Council sufficient time to review the information before the hearing.
If the Appellant does not appear at the scheduled hearing, the appeal may be dismissed and the Order may be deemed affirmed.
