Need Help with Flood Recovery?

Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure's Emergency Management Organization (EMO), in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, is providing in-person recovery support and services for residents affected by recent flooding.

Residents are invited to attend a Recovery Support Community Hub in Dauphin, Russell, or Roblin. These locations will serve residents from surrounding communities and municipalities. Virtual support is also available for those unable to attend in person.

Recovery specialists can help residents:
- Understand insurance.
- Complete financial assistance applications.
- Access information on recovery programs, services, and eligibility requirements.

Recovery Support Community Hubs:
The following locations will serve as Recovery Support Community Hubs for residents across the Parkland Region. Residents are encouraged to attend the location most convenient for them.

Virtual recovery support is available through the Canadian Red Cross. Recovery specialists can assist residents by phone or through Teams or Zoom. They can help complete applications, explain required supporting documentation, and provide guidance on submitting applications and additional information. WATER RESTRICTIONS REMAIN REMAIN IN EFFECT

The Municipality is once again falling behind at the lift stations. Although conditions may appear normal at the surface, they are not; significant groundwater continues to enter the sanitary sewer system and is placing extreme pressure on municipal infrastructure.

Residents are asked to reduce water use wherever reasonably possible, including laundry, long showers, dishwashing, and other non-essential water use. We understand that conserving water is challenging, but every reduction helps prevent sewer backups and system failures.

Sump pumps and groundwater must not discharge into the sanitary sewer system. If your sump pump is connected to the sewer, disconnect and redirect it immediately to a location where the water cannot flow back into the sanitary sewer system.

Free sump-pump discharge hose is available at the Municipal Office. If you need hose, please ask. If you need assistance determining how to properly reroute your sump pump, please contact the Municipal Office.

Protective Services in the Municipality of Roblin

The Municipality of Roblin is proud to be a safe, welcoming, and well-prepared community—an ideal place to raise a family, run a business, or enjoy rural living. Public safety here is more than just an emergency response; it's a coordinated effort across several departments and agencies, all working together to protect residents, property, and infrastructure.

Our Protective Services are built on accountability, professionalism, and community trust. While Fire, Police, and By-law Enforcement make up the front lines, they are supported by a broader emergency management framework and numerous behind-the-scenes efforts that keep Roblin secure and responsive year-round.

Fire & Rescue
The Roblin Fire Department provides 24/7 emergency response throughout the Municipality and surrounding region. Staffed by trained volunteer firefighters and overseen by the Fire Chief, the department responds to structure fires, wildfires, motor vehicle collisions, and more.
 
Policing
Policing in Roblin is provided by the local RCMP Detachment, which delivers general enforcement, criminal investigations, traffic safety, and public order services across the region. The detachment works closely with the Municipality and other agencies to support local priorities and maintain visibility within the community.
 
By-law Enforcement
The By-law Enforcement Officer(s) are responsible for upholding local regulations related to nuisances, animal control, unsightly properties, noise complaints, and general community standards. The enforcement approach is focused on fairness, and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all residents.
 
Emergency Management (EMO)
Roblin’s Emergency Management Organization (EMO) oversees emergency preparedness, response coordination, and recovery planning for the Municipality. Working closely with Manitoba EMO and other provincial agencies, the local EMO ensures that the Municipality is equipped to handle a wide range of incidents, including floods, wildfires, utility disruptions, and evacuations.
 
The Municipality maintains an updated Emergency Plan and supports training, inter-agency collaboration, and proactive risk management to safeguard public safety during both natural and human-caused emergencies.
