Roblin Waste Disposal Site - Burn Pit Closure

Effective immediately, burnable materials will no longer be accepted at the Roblin Waste Disposal Ground. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Branches
  • Clean wood
  • Other similar combustible items

This temporary suspension is necessary until the construction of a designated burn pit at the site is completed.

Residents are requested to retain all burnable materials on their property until advised that the suspension is lifted.

We thank all residents for their cooperation and understanding as we work to as quickly as possible to resume operation of our Waste Disposal Ground.

How Property Assessment Works in Manitoba

In the Province of Manitoba, property assessments are conducted by Manitoba Assessment Services, not by individual municipalities. The purpose of property assessment is to determine the market value of land and buildings, which in turn forms the basis for calculating your annual property taxes.

Each assessment reflects the fair market value of your property as of a set reference date, using comparable sales data, land characteristics, and improvements to the property.

While the Municipality of Roblin does not perform assessments, it does play a role in the appeal process.
