Notice of Election

MUNICIPALITY OF ROBLIN

Notice is hereby given that a vote of the Municipality of Roblin will be taken to elect a HEAD OF COUNCIL and SIX COUNCILLORS from the following duly nominated candidates:

For the office of Head of Council:

VOTING PLACE

The voting place will be open for voting on Wednesday, October 28^th, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at the Roblin Community Centre, 55 – 6^th Avenue NE.        

IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.  A person may be required to produce one piece of government-issued photo identification (for example - driver’s licence or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on Election Day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the Roblin Community Centre, 55 – 6^th Avenue NE and will be open Monday, October 19, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

MOBILE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care facility, a mobile voting station will be set up at the following health care facilities on election day:

            Crocus Court Personal Care, 15 Hospital Street   10:30 AM to 11:45 AM

            Roblin District Health Centre, 15 Hospital Street  12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

 

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in writing to the Senior Election Official at 125 – 1^st Avenue NW, Box 998, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0.

Applications will be accepted until October 25, 2026.  When the ballots have been printed, a voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application. A voter applying by mail will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the Senior Election Official.  If applying by mail, please enclose a photocopy of ID that contains your name, address and photograph.
