New Makaroff / Deepdale Bypass

After countless hours of work in extremely challenging conditions, crews have successfully completed the new Makaroff/Deepdale bypass. This temporary route has restored access to an area that had become severely restricted, and we want to recognize everyone involved for the incredible effort that made this possible.

Please remember that this is a newly constructed emergency bypass. The road remains soft in many areas and will continue to settle over the coming days.

With access now restored through the Makaroff/Deepdale area, crews can begin reaching additional roads and locations that were previously inaccessible. This will allow repair work to continue in other affected areas; however, there is still a significant amount of work ahead. We appreciate everyone's continued patience as crews work methodically to restore the municipal road network.

- Slow down.

- Watch for construction crews (everywhere).

- Drive with extreme care.

- Watch for soft spots and changing conditions.

- Be patient and give yourself extra time.
