Flood Situation Report - 07-05/2026 20:00 hrs

Administrative Operations
  • Municipal staff continues to monitor conditions and coordinate flood response operations around the clock.
  • The Municipality continues working with the Province regarding the Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) Program. Additional information is being gathered, and a simplified guide and information for residents will be released once available.
  • Administrative staff continues participating in daily provincial emergency coordination briefings to ensure the Municipality has the latest information and support.
  • Tipping fees have been temporarily suspended for flood-damaged materials disposed of at the Roblin Waste Disposal Site to assist residents with cleanup efforts.

Urban Operation
  • Crews continue working to lower water levels throughout the Municipality.
  • West Goose Lake has dropped slightly. East Goose Lake remains stable.
  • St. Vlad's has dropped approximately four inches since yesterday.
  • Wastewater lift stations continue to operate under significant strain. Residents are still asked to reduce water consumption wherever possible and ensure sump pumps discharge outside, not into the sanitary sewer system.

Rural Operations
  • The Makaroff / Deepdale bypass has now been completed and is open to local traffic only. The road remains soft in several areas. Drive with extreme caution and reduce your speed.
  • The Merridale washout has been repaired; however, the bridge remains under water and is still closed.
  • Public Works continues maintaining water discharge systems and restoring access to isolated areas as conditions allow.
  • Rural road conditions continue to change rapidly. Not every hazard or closure can be signed immediately. Avoid unnecessary travel and never drive through water covering a roadway.

Public Safety Reminders

  • Continue to give heavy equipment, contractors, and transport trucks plenty of room to work.
  • Stay off closed roads and do not move barricades.
