Flooding Update

Current Flood Response Priorities

The Municipality's flood response priorities include, but are not limited to:

• Lowering water levels in Goose Lake. Goose Lake is currently at capacity and serves as the outlet for the urban area's drainage system. Reducing water levels in Goose Lake will assist in lowering water levels throughout the urban area.

• Removing water from the North End and Newton Bay through continued pumping and hydrovacing operations.

• Restoring access to rural residences that remain landlocked due to flooded roads.

These priorities will continue to be adjusted as conditions change and new issues arise. Public Works, contractors, and volunteers remain working throughout the Municipality and are responding to incidents as resources become available.
