Sump Pumps Must Discharge Outside
We need your help.
Our lift stations are still very much overwhelmed, and we need residents to ensure sump pumps discharge outside, not into the sanitary sewer system.
Every sump pump connected to the sanitary sewer adds unnecessary groundwater to an already overloaded wastewater system, increasing the risk of sewer backups and making it more difficult to keep the system operating.
If your sump pump is connected to the sanitary sewer, disconnect it immediately and ensure it discharges outside.
Update 07-05/2026 11:09
The Municipality has received a supply of sump pump discharge hose to help residents redirect their sump pumps outside instead of into the sewer system.
Residents requiring hose are requested to call (204) 937-7062. Hose will be provided while supplies last.
